Day 01: Saturday:
Afternoon assemble at 1400 hours at The Taj Mahal Palace and Tower, Mumbai to complete the registration and check in formalities at the hotel for the Maharaja's Express. Later proceed to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. The Maharajas Express departs Mumbai at 1640 hours approximately and travels from the land of the Marathas to Gujarat. Later you will be provided dinner on board. Overnight on the Maharajas Express.

Day 02: Sunday: Vadodara
Today you arrive into the Royal city of the Gaekwad, Vadodara situated on the famous River Vishwamitri. Enjoy a relaxed morning on board the train, following a leisurely breakfast OR you may proceed for an optional Golfing Tour at the Gaekwad Baroda Golf Club. Today visit the Jambhughoda where at the enroute you can visit the famous World Heritage site of Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, an ancient town full of ruins scattered over the foothills of Pavagadh. Later visit the magnificent Jami Masjid, an architectural marvel built in 1513. Jambhughoda participate in the traditional welcome and fanfare of the feudal lords of Jambhughoda, and relish their royal cuisine, typical only to their family. You have an opportunity to interact with the family members and catch a glimpse of their royal past. Later after lunch, return to Vadodara to visit the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum. Has a royal collection of work by the important 19th century painter Raja Ravi Verma and displays 19th and 20th centuries European paintings of old masters like Raphael, Titian and Murillo. Have dinner at Laxmi Vilas Palace. You can enjoy the grandeur of its ornate Durbar Hall, the Venetian mosaic floor, Belgium stained glass windows and sculptures of bronze and marble by Fellici. Later enjoy lovely folk dance performance, typical to the Royal House as you savor a wide array of delicacies from the Royal kitchens. Return to the station and board the Maharaja Express train for your onward journey. Breakfast on board; Lunch at Jambhughoda; Supper at Laxmi Vilas Palace. Overnight on the Maharajas Express.

Day 03: Monday: Udaipur
After breakfast on board you can proceed for sightseeing of Udaipur city which often resembles as that of the fairy tale stories. Located on the river banks of Pichola this city is often visited by many tourists and considered one of the romantic cities holding island palaces, havelis, temples, Ghats and lively bazaars. Visit The City palace which is a wonderful package of the Rajput floral architecture which has its own unique Mughalian style. Visit Mor Chowk and see its lavish mosaics of peacocks; Moti Mahal with beautiful mirror work; Chini Mahal covered in ornamental tiles and the spectacular Zenana Mahal. After lunch at Dubar hall you can either stay on the board for relaxation or use the spa facilities for Ayurvedic treatments and massages. Return to train and have dinner on board and depart towards the next destination through the Maharaja Express train.

Day 04: Tuesday: Jodhpur
After breakfast Maharaja Express train India ready for on board you can proceed for sightseeing of, the second largest city in the state founded by Rao Jodha during 1459 who was the Rathore ruler of the kingdom of Marwar and trade, being the primary occupation later led to a separate merchant class popularly called as the Marwaris. Jodhpur being a paradise of arts and food, visitors has much stuff to explore and an interesting fact is that the houses at this place are painted pale bluish white in a uniform order and the houses look stunning at a bird’s eye view. There is a belief that the houses when painted white keeps away from the hot sun and prevents mosquitoes entering house after late evening. Have lunch on board and precede a walking tour of the Old Clock Tower market experiencing the hustle and bustle of the market as well as get an insight of the daily lifestyle of the local residents as you walk through a section of the blue city, past some of the oldest houses and havelis. Later make a visit to the Mehrangarh Fort one of the majestic mansion placed 125 meters on a hill top. This fort was commenced by Rao Jodha in 1945 and the royal apartments located within these building sets as a perfect example museums of huge collection. So visiting the fort is far enough in Jodhpur since it has much cultural and artistic stuff which is to be keenly observed by the visitors. The highlight of the day is a Royal Cocktail evening with a wide array of sumptuous Marwar culinary delights served in the Royal courtyard of Mehrangarh Fort. After Barbecue at Mehrangarh Fort proceed towards Bikaner.

Day 05: Wednesday: Bikaner
After breakfast The Maharaja express train on board you can proceed for sightseeing of Bikaner which another part and parcel of the artistic creations.  To make it a good start at Bikaner, visit the Camel breeding farm, which is the bets visited in the late afternoon was initially set up in 1975 and the interesting fact is that nearly half of the camels found in India including those in the regiment of the Indian Army is bred in this farm. Return to the train to have lunch onboard and visit the Junagarh fort constructed between 1587 and   1593 by Rai Singh. This fort has many Haveli’s and patched works making the fort to look extraordinary and is protected by a tall sandstone wall with 37 Bastions. There are many monuments associated to this like the Anup Mahal, Durbar Niwas, Hawa Mahal and many. Taking a visit to this place needs some time and provides an opportunity to explore the ornamental and luxurious lacquer work done by the kings on their own style of creativity. Experience the royal pageantry as a convoy of decorated canopied camel carts accompanied by musicians takes you for a Sundowner in the Sand Dunes. Enjoy cocktails; savor traditional mouth watering barbecue delicacies as you enjoy traditional folk artists like the Langaas and Kalbeliyas whose music and dance will mesmerise you.  Return to the coach to have a comfortable stay and proceed towards Jaipur.

Day 06: Thursday: Jaipur
After breakfast on board you can proceed for sightseeing of Jaipur, referred as the “Pink City” a paradise of magnificent collection of Palaces, forts, colorful festivals and markets and wonderful fun loving people. Apart from the Palace s and forts is the Chambal River and Thar Desert adding beauty to the Rajasthan state. Jaipur is a place which is still preserved with the ethnicity and is a multi-art version of India. the Maharaja Express train Tour starts with a unique and enthralling experience – an Exhibition Elephant Polo Match. Your arrival at the venue will be accompanied by the royal military band and the beating of ‘Nagadas’ (huge Indian drums). Elephant Polo Lunch at a private venue will be provided followed by where you can relax or enjoy the optional such as shopping and spa. Have dinner onboard and proceed to Sawai Madhopur (Ranthanmbore)

Day 07: Friday:  Sawai Madhopur (Ranthanmbore) and Fatehpur Sikri
On arrival at early morning Ranthambore national park is situated. Prepare yourself to explore the wildlife and nature at Ranthanmbore national park located at the Aravalli and Vindhya mountain ranges which has beautiful lakes, waterfalls. Vast jungle and flora and flora and fauna of different varieties. Later for breakfast assemble at Taj Sawai Madhopur Lodge and relax. Later have lunch at train and proceed towards Fatehpur Sikri, commenced by The Mughal emperor Akbar; the architecture was done using the red sandstone in remembrance of his son Salim and to honor the holy saint Sheikh Salim Chisti. Again this place is filled with a unique style of both Hinduism and Muslim art of construction. Have dinner onboard and continue your journey with Maharaja's Express Train

Day 08: Saturday: Agra and Delhi
When you step in at Agra early morning, visit being a holder of the “Seven wonders of the World – Taj Mahal”, this place is often visited by many tourists. Not only the Taj Mahal but also Fatehpur Sikri and Agra Fort are considered to be one of the excellent man made architectures of India. Then enjoy a Champagne breakfast gazing at the Taj Mahal, from atop the Taj Khema. Following breakfast, return to the train. Enjoy a hearty lunch on board as you continue your journey to Delhi. Later you can bid goodbye to the crew members of the golden chariot for having such a wonderful King’s treatment. Later you will be dropped at the Delhi international airport and fly home with sweet memories.
