Grand and traditional welcome with Aarti and Tika, garlanding and some fresh mock tails is given on arrival by 16.00 hrs at Safdarjung Station Delhi. Later you be escorted to respective cabins. By the time everyone has settled, the train Royal Rajasthan on Wheels will start its trip by 21:00 Hrs towards Jodhpur. Dinner will be provided onboard. Day 2: Monday (Breakfast / Dinner – Onboard) Jodhpur: (Arrive at 08.00 AM. Breakfast on board | Departure 16.30 Hrs) ![]() Next day of Royal Rajasthan on Wheels tour, Morning arrive at Jodhpur, the second largest city in the state founded by Rao Jodha during 1459 who was the Rathore ruler of the kingdom of Marwar and trade, being the primary occupation later led to a separate merchant class popularly called as the Marwaris. Jodhpur being a paradise of arts and food, visitors has much stuff to explore and an interesting fact is that the houses at this place are painted pale bluish white in a uniform order and the houses look stunning at a bird’s eye view. There is a belief that the houses when painted white keeps away from the hot sun and prevents mosquitoes entering house after late evening. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort one of the majestic mansion placed 125 meters on a hill top. This fort was commenced by Rao Jodha in 1945 and the royal apartments located within this building sets as a perfect example museums of huge collection. Later visit Umaid Bhawan and do some shopping. Later for lunch you will taken to a 5 star hotel for delicious varieties of food. Later at the given departure time start your journey towards Udaipur. Day 3: Tuesday Udaipur: (Arrival 07.00 AM Breakfast on board| Departure 14.30 Hrs) Chittorgarh: (Arrival 16.45 Hrs | Departure 22.00 Hrs) At Udaipur after having breakfast proceed for sightseeing of City palace which is a wonderful package of the Rajput floral architecture which has its own unique Mughalian style. And this complex has several palaces in it which is available to the public as museums containing the royal furnitures, costumes, hand paintings of the kings of kings and the utensils they have used. One part of this palace is converted as luxurious hotel attracting foreigners who would like to experience Indian Royalty. Visit Jagdish Mandir located at the entrance and consists of an image of Vishnu carved in a Blackstone, along with some idols of elephants and bronze structure of Garuda. Later visit Sahelion Ke Bari and boar ride. Have lunch at 5* hotel. Later depart to Chittorgarh to visit place of tradition and bravery of the Rajput. The living place of Princess Padmini who was well known for her beauty and bravery. Visit the Chittorgarh Fort built at the hillock of 300 metres high and which is spread out over 700 acres of land. It has seven huge gateways and the excellent fact is that this fort has survived three huge raptures and ravages and which means this is one of the best built strong fort of Rajasthan. Later gather for tea break where that will be followed by light and sound show. Later after dinner at Board / Hotel Panna proceed towards Sawai Madhopur through Royal Rajasthan on Wheels train. Day 4 : Wednesday Sawai Madhopur: (Arrival 05.30 AM Breakfast on board or Hotel Vinayak | Departure 09.30 AM) Jaipur: (Arrival 11.30 Hrs | Departure 22.15 Hrs) ![]() Today after breakfast at the mentioned hotel visit Sawai Madhopur where Ranthambore’s national wildlife park is situated. Prepare yourself to explore the wildlife and nature at Ranthanmbore National park located at the Aravalli and Vindhya mountain ranges which has beautiful lakes, waterfalls. Vast jungle and flora and flora and fauna of different varieties. Later on the way you will be visiting Amareshwar Mohadeo temple. Later assemble on the train for having lunch. Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II museum commenced this museum and the treasures of this place is the manuscripts, Mughal carpets, miniature paintings, large and rare musical instruments, costumes designed for the kings, weapons, war materials and arts and crafts and later visit observatory. Assemble for tea and snacks. Later by 08:00 pm a cultural show will be arranged along with dinner. Depart to Khajuraho Day 5: Thursday Khajuraho: .(Arrival 10.00 AM Breakfast on board | Departure 20.00 Hrs) Khajuraho temple being divided into three groups as the western group, eastern group and the Southern group, you can make use of the whole day to visit some of the temples falling in these categories as follows After breakfast on Royal Rajasthan on Wheels train tourist will visit western group of temples which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and considered to be the most evolved example of central Indian temple architecture. This temple is also the largest of Khajuraho temples. Lunch at Hotel Clarks Khajuraho. Museum and the south group of temples will be visited after lunch. For relaxation with snacks and tea return to train Royal Rajasthan on Wheels. Evening light and sound show. Return Rajasthan on Wheels Train For Onboard Dinner Day 6: Friday Varanasi (Banaras): (Arrival 06.00 AM | Departure 21.00 Hrs.) Varanasi also known as: The city of Light” or Kashi situated on the rivers banks of Ganges is considered to be scared and holiest land of India. This is one of the very oldest city dating back 3000 years and this is the place where the Hindus come to die or venerate their death. In this place there is no piece of land that does not bear the symbol of Shiva or linga since there is a belief that he chose this place as his earthly home. Visitors often get confused since each of the Shiva temples has its own unique name. the holiest place, for Bhuddhist Sarnath is the holy land. Later sightsee archaeological museum. Lunch at Hotel Gateway Taj Ganges and return to train for taking rest. Evening visit the Ghat-Maha-Aarti at the Ghat Ritualistic worship to the river at Dahsawmegh Ghat, oil lamps and incense are lit, flowers are offered and bells ring out in unison while sacred mantras are chanted later return to the train for dinner and depart to Agra. ![]() Day-7: Saturday Agra, Taj Mahal – [Break fast on board 7.30 AM, Arrival at Agra 10.00 AM, Departure for Delhi 9.00 PM] After breakfast proceed for sightseeing for Agra Fort, initially constructed by the great emperor Akbar and later continued by Shah Jahan by the year 1565. The imposing red sandstone along the river front consists of a wide range of buildings built uniquely towards the style of the two emperors. Towards the South is the Amar Singh gate and towards the right side is the Jahangiri Mahal one of the major fort that was commenced during Akbar’s reign. Along the river front is the Khas mahal, an elegant marble hall with painted ceiling built in Shah Jahan’s style. Next visit “Seven wonders of the World – Taj Mahal”, this place is often visited by many tourists. Not only the Taj Mahal but also Fatehpur Sikri and Agra Fort are considered to be one of the excellent man made architectures of India. Lunch at Hotel Jay Pee Palace. Return to train Royal Rajasthan on Wheels for onboard dinner. Day 08: Delhi Arrive Delhi and breakfast will be provided on board and check out time will be 07:30 AM, you can bid goodbye to the crew members of the Palace on wheels for having such a wonderful King’s treatment.
