Day 01 : Wednesday:Boarding at Delhi / Jaipur ![]() On arrival at the Delhi Safdarjung railway station, you will be given a warm traditional welcome by the crew members and guide you to comfortably settle down and get ready for the luxurious retreat. You will slowly moving on to Jaipur, where you will not even realize being in a train such that it will covered up by the rich hospitality. Stay overnight in the Palace on Wheels train. Day 02: Thursday: Jaipur By the time you would have reached Jaipur, you will be detrained and a coach will take you the cultural city of Rajasthan where you can witness the important palaces and simply built houses. You will taken around the city to explore more of the palaces, monuments, mahals and lakes. Day 03 : Thursday: Jaisalmer Being the third day of the trip by Palace on Wheels, you will be reaching Jaisalmer @06:15 hrs and later after a delicious breakfast, detrain and get in the coach to experience Jaisalmer, the desert city, where once many rich traders prevailed and to show their financial strength these people started building palaces in their unique style of architecture and the havelis and palaces mostly by the gold yellowish sandstones. Day 04: Saturday: Jodhpur Next day of Palaces on Wheels train tour, Today by 08:00 Hrs you will be arriving Jodhpur which is another destination known for deserts and safaris. Located at the edge of Thar Desert Jodhpur is one of the second largest cities in Rajasthan where the special and noticeable thing is that most of the residents are painted in bluish white since it is believed that, it absorbs heat in a slow progress. The Mehrangarh fort and the castles and museums make the place interesting where the rooti with daal and kachooris are the famous simple delicacy available for the people. Day 05: Sun: Sawai Madhopur Being the fifth day of your journey through Palace on Wheels you will be reaching Sawai Madhopur @ 04:00 Hrs and later have your breakfast at Castle Jhoomar Baori and make a visit to Ranthanmbore National park, to explore the wildlife and nature at Ranthanmbore national park located at the Aravalli and Vindhya mountain ranges which has beautiful lakes, waterfalls. Day 06 : Monday : Udaipur Today morning by 07:30 Hrs you will be reaching Udaipur city which often resembles as that of the fairy tale stories. Located on the river banks of Pichola this city is often visited by many tourists and considered one of the romantic cities holding island palaces, havelis, temples, Ghats and lively bazaars. Visit The City palace which is a wonderful package of the Rajput floral architecture which has its own unique Mughalian style. And this complex has several palaces in it which is available to the public as museums containing the royal furnitures, costumes, hand paintings of the kings of kings and the utensils they have used. Day 07: Tuesday: Bharatpur Tuesday morning @ 06:00 Hrs Palace on wheels train reach Bharatpur which is most famous for its bird sanctuary which was founded by the landowners and the most powerful leader Raja Suraj Mal later fortified the Bharatpur fort using the loot of precious materials from the Mughal emperor and added beauty to the fort and maintained very well. Day 08: Wednesday: Delhi departure On the last day of Palace on Wheels train tour, Having reached the end of the tour, early morning you will be arriving Delhi and later after breakfast you can bid goodbye to the crew members of the Palace on wheels for having such a wonderful King’s treatment.
