Day 01 : Arrival at Kochi (Cochin)

You will be warmly received by our representatives on the first day of your Best Kerala tour on arrival at Kochi International Airport. You will be assisted to check in at a comfortable hotel in the city centre. Relax and enjoy your stay in the hotel.

Day 02 : Cochin – Munnar / 135 Kms -04 Hrs Drive
Munnar - We will begin our Best Kerala tour soon after our breakfast. We will visit Munnar, the scenic hill station this day. It is one of the most famous hill stations of South India. It was the favorite summer resort of erstwhile British rulers in South India.
Eravikulam - Visit the famous Eravikulam National Park. It is really a treat for nature lovers. It has been developed to protect the rare Nilgiri Tahr species of mountain goat. The park remains closed to tourists from February to April during breeding season. You can later stroll in the calm and quiet natural surroundings in the ‘God’s own country’. Enjoy the calm and serene ‘company’ of nature and lose yourself in the amazing beauty of the surroundings

Day 03 : Munnar
Mattupetti Dam - Visit the beautiful Mattupetti dam on the third day of your Best Kerala tour which is a major attraction of Munnar. It is situated at an altitude of 1800 m above sea level. Another tourist attraction is the dairy farm. Three out of a total of eleven dairy sheds located here are open to the public.
Echo Point - As evident from its name, this place is famous for natural surroundings where words shouted in air revert to you. Your shout returns as an echo. That is why it has become a famous and favorite place for tourists and especially kids who enjoy the echo effect of the place with great enjoyment.
Tea Museum - A fine place for knowledge and information. It is special place for tea lovers with its tea museum. It displays the total process of tea processing. The museum displays the mechanism of entire tea making process by means of photographs. It enriches the knowledge of tourists, especially kids about the tea making process, right from picking up tea leaves to processing them into tea packets.

Day 04 : Munnar – Periyar / 110 Kms – 03 Hrs Drive
Periyar - We will visit Periyar on the fourth day of our Best Kerala tour. The place is also known as Thekkady and is full of natural beauty and splendor. Visit the Periyar National Park which exhibits diverse flora and fauna. This really awesome place transports you to another world. The lovely place has Nature at its best. Truly a heaven for tourists, it gives them ample opportunities to know and study wild animals in their natural surroundings. This is an evergreen dense forest which is a delight for animal lovers. With some luck, you can witness animals in their natural habitat here. It is also famous for spice plants which add an aroma to the surrounding. For spice lovers, there are spice plantations spread over large lands where you can smell the diverse aroma of spice plants. Here, you can go for Spice tours, Nature Walk, Tiger trails, Elephant ride and Trekking etc.

Day 05 : PeriyarKerala Travel
Here you can shop for spices in their purest forms with great aroma. You can buy some at cheap rates and take them home to relish. Most common are cardamom, cashew, coffee, almonds etc. You can also shop for herbal oils like eucalyptus oil and many other Ayurvedic oils which are used to treat various body ailments. Another great attraction here is Ayurvedic message which you can avail to uplift your body and spirit. You can also enjoy the traditional martial art show, “Kalaripayattu” during your Best Kerala tour..

Day 06 : Periyar – Alleppey / 160 Kms – 05 Hrs drive
Move over to Alleppey, a small town famous for grand backwaters. You can rent a houseboat, traditionally called Kettuvallam. These boats are a wonder because no nail is used in their making. Black resin, a byproduct obtained out of boiling cashew nut shells is used in their making! They are made using jack wood planks and tied by coir ropes. These houseboats are unique of this place and it is exciting to stay on them. You would see the lifestyle, tradition and culture of locals. You would see locals engaged in fishing and coir making etc. There are even small canopy shaped boats which sell vegetables and fish. Kuttanadu is yet another major attraction of the place. It is a form of farming in which crop plantation is done below the sea level. You can relish traditional Kerala lunch which is enriched with ingredients like coconut, fish and spices. You can also try fishing during your houseboat tour.

Day 07 : Alleppey – Kovalam / 170 km – 4 ½ Hrs drive
Visit the exotic beaches of Kovalam. After enjoying your stay on hill stations, their cool and refreshing breeze, wildlife habitats, backwater beauty, boat ride etc. it’s time to cool down at the Kovalam beach. The long stretch of crescent provides perfect mood for swimming. You can also go in for Ayurvedic massages and beach side Yoga during your Best Kerala tour.

Day 08 : Kovalam – Kanyakumari – Kovalam / 100 kms – 2 Hrs Drive (One way)
In the morning, proceed to Kanyakumari and visit the Kumari Amman temple. Kanyakumari is the southernmost part of India. Kanya Kumari is the goddess who is believed to have conquered evil alone and freed the world. Thereafter, we will visit the splendid Thiruvalluvar Statue. It is a memoir of Valluvar, the great Tamil poet. The statue weighs 7000 tons and is situated off shores 400 m away. The great poet taught high traditional values. Next, see the famous Vivekananda Memorial, dedicated to one of the world’s greatest scholar and philosophers. He is known for spreading high values off shores. Your next attraction would be Gandhi Memorial, depicting Hindu, Christian and Muslim architectural styles. The specialty of the monument is that on Gandhiji’s birthday on 2nd October, sun rays fall directly on the stone. In evening, you can cherish the magnificent sunset view for which tourists long for.

Day 09 : Kovalam – Trivandrum departure / 30 mins drive
This will be the last day of your Best Kerala tour and you would be shifted to the airport as per your flight schedule for onward journey to your home.
