It is actually a series of palaces with amazing similarity of the design despite the fact that it was constructed by different rules at different times. The construction started from 1559 by Maharaja Udai Singh II the founder of the city of Udaipur. From various spots of the Palace you can get amazing view of everything including the entire city of Udaipur. The City Palace museum also has things to explore and enjoy the Mor Chowk, Manak Mahal, Krishna Villas, Bari Mahal, Moti Mahal, Chini Mahal, Zenana Mahal has different things to offer to the visitors. Bagore-ki-Haveli : it is an 18th century haveli, located at the water’s edge of the Gangour Ghat Area. There are 138 rooms in this haveli and these rooms hold some amazing display of things like world’s largest turban and so on. Also there are art galleries displaying folk as well as contemporary art works. The regular Rajasthani dance performance on the upper courtyard adds to the charm of this place.
